hi everybody !

i have to remount the flywheel on the OM636 (1,8L Diesel) problem ..... no mark on the camshaft :( However I have full mark on the edge of the flywheel and on disk inside of this one.

after I know it does not matter if I do not remount it as it was, it will still work, but to calibrate the injection pump with the mark it will be easier.

if anyone has a solution I'm interested ....

I also search a tutorial to wedge the injection pump on a OM636 :)

Hi,
the camshaft and flywheel are balanced together as a unit, and as far as i know, you have to assemble them as they have been before. If you do not know the position, you can give the unit away to the motor specialists for balancing

update: i looked it up in the manual and it appears that you were right and i was wrong: it is not necessary to newly balance a changed flywheel in case of the OM636

i've find that when i put the disc on the front of the motor after painting. .... i think the solution is here ;)
