Yesterday I finally recovered my replenished clutch disc, spent the whole afternoon dismantling much of my work already done on the motor to remove the oil pan in order to replace the bolts Of the flywheel on the crankshaft.

Bild

Bild

Then I wanted to put the engine in its place and surprise there !!!! It will not go .......... will have to redouble ingenuity to get it in there ... for the dismantling it was simpler, the front train was out ... :Wandhauer: :Wandhauer: :Wandhauer:

Go, I go back today and I will try to take more pictures to embellish this subject!

After a good night's sleep, here we go again !

Yesterday I spent my whole day putting the motor at his place! Start of hostility around 9:00 am full of motivation and good humor :)

In the semblance of technical book that I found, they say to go out all the train before to remove the engine ...... anyway, i'll try to put it by my way.

Then to the attack! First I pass the first half of the engine over the crossbar (not removable obviously .....), until then no problem ....

Bild

Problem, it does not pass because of the body and the interior of the dashboard, so i have to tilt ...

Bild

Then I put a rope to stabilize the front, you can see the inclination attempt to pass the casing but it is really very narrow in there

Bild

Well it still does not pass with this fucking huge oil pan .... :Wandhauer:

Bild

After hours of nervousness to play with all possible angles, disassembly of the diesel filter, the injection pump (shit it was well stalled ....) and the dynamo, the casing is nearly passed !!!

Bild

59/5000
We shake in every direction! Go !!!!! almost !!!!!!!!

Bild

Change of side of the crane:

Bild

Arrived at this moment, the engine did not want to go any further, even by tilting the gearbox and all that, so I completely unbolted the gearbox and the transmission bearing for more play! And it works! (Even if it's shit to disassemble everything I've mounted ...)

almoooooooooooooooooooooooooost !!!!

Bild

Bild

After two - three nudge with the foot on the pulley to push the engine, it came in almost as if by magic !!!!!!!!!!

Bild

Bild

Bild

War always leaves wounds ...... it will have to remake of the painting ....

work of the week,

I had to fall the gearbox because my clutch pedal was on the ground while the box was in place :| not logical .... it is much simpler to drop the box alone (27kg Only), the clips of the clutch stop was misplaced ... In 1H30 it was done

75/5000
Then we connect the steering, it's weird to find the steering wheel again ! :klatsch:

Bild

Bild

Bild

Bild

Then reassembling the shift lever, after several adjustments of length of rods it is ok ! All speeds are works!

Bild

Bild

Painting of the box linkages and the starter :

Bild

Installation of the exhaust freshly cleaned and repainted!

Bild

Bild

Bild

step by step ...

Bild

We continue ... installing the cover of the cabin heating block and definitively fixing the jar of brake fluid:

Always under the supervision of the estafette !

Bild

Stripping, painting and reassembly:

Then my ventilation motor no longer works ... dismantling and deep cleaning, lubrication of the shaft that was seized. Now it's blowing!

to be continued in the next episode ;)

Today I cleaned, straightened to the max and put the primer on the interiors of the 4 doors, once the whole put in primer, bheavy rain and wind fall and the roof of the shed is not totally waterproof. .......... I have a few drops that have fallen on it. fortunately that it was not the painting ...:

Bild

then i put the primer on the dashboard because the first layer of paint had jumped in places ... and badaboom ... too loaded and badly degreased, I was half in the darkness so badly seen .... so I go back to The house drinking a beer to relax, will remain to sanding the traces at best. The dashboard is really the trick that I do not want to miss because I will see it every time I climb into the vehicle!

Bild

Monday night if the temperatures are not too low and no rain forecast, I put all this in paint!

Yesterday I recovered my injectors from the diesel engineer, the bill hurts ... but at least it's like new!

Bild

And today it was session sanding previous drippings, primer, sanding and painting! This is the result! I'm glad I did not see any dripping! I hope a sparrow will not come shit on at night .....

I remade the interior of the cabin because not satisfied with the result, there is just the croof which is covered with a weird plaster .... I will cover it with a piece of fabric glued because impossible to paint! :

And the interiors of front and rear doors, skirts and bars of straps that go to the rear:

hi everybody !

Today I started by putting oil in the gearbox and the propulsion system and set up the sliding guides for the front doors (oops no picture!)

I'm not really motivated to do the bodywork right now .... so I'm going on electricity and mechanics :)

Installation of the fuse holder and wiring:

Bild

The interior of the engine compartment begins to be full! I must buy a long sleeve of 27 to tighten my injectors:

Bild

Bild

rear doors in place !

Bild

And the dashboard put back in place! I still have to wire everything behind!

Bild

Bild

It will also be necessary that I start the search to find parts in good aesthetic condition ... for example the fuel gauge is not pretty pretty but it works :)

Bild

bye !

If the fuel gauge is still working fine, then look for a business who can rewrite /paint the white text on the gauge. There are business in Australia who can do this, so if they can do it here then there should be many places in Europe who specialise in this.

Also, if you want to go budget, print up a vinyl decal and attach it under the glass

Are you using the original wiring or have you made up a new wiring loom?

Your 319 is coming along nicely :klatsch:

Cheers,
Brad
