My understanding is.......

180 - engine type
924 - engine model.
75 - engine made in 1957. It is reversed?? I have no reason why MB do this.
05147 - is number 5147 on the production line for that engine.

319.071 Bus with roof edge windows, 3 doors, 10 seats.
Engine. M121 B iii and M121 B iii b, and M121 B vii. (vii example are Roman numerals).

319.071(10) 10 is left hand drive.

Which leaves 001087 as your unique chassis number.

Just a thought. Have you looked into when the engine was built? 180-924.
If the engine was built in 1962 then its a possible maybe. Also did unimog 404's have this engine also?

See picture below. The brake drum and hub are all one. Undo the bolts of the hub to remove the axel shaft (axel shaft numbered #65 on diagram).
